The bridge will reopen that afternoon for students to use on their way home.

Welcome Mrs. Tara Holmes – Our New TK Teacher!

We are excited to announce that Mrs. Tara Holmes will be joining Eader Elementary this fall as our new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) teacher.

Mrs. Holmes comes to us from Hawes Elementary and brings with her 19 years of experience teaching TK. She is a passionate and dedicated educator who is looking forward to becoming part of the Eader community, meeting our students and families, and helping our youngest learners grow socially, academically, and develop a love for learning and our wonderful school.

We’re also thrilled to share that Mrs. Jenny Beebout, who has supported Mrs. Holmes’ TK classroom for years as an instructional assistant, will be joining us as well. Together, they bring a strong and experienced team that will provide our TK students with a nurturing, engaging, and enriching start to their school journey.

Please join us in giving both Mrs. Holmes (pictured right) and Mrs. Beebout (pictured left) a warm Eader welcome when you see them on campus!

Prevent Summer Slide: Access Resources to Keep Learning Alive!

As we approach the summer break, we want to ensure our students continue to thrive academically. To help prevent the summer slide, we have several educational resources available for all students enrolled in HBCSD Transitional Kindergarten (TK) - grade eight for the 2024-25 school year. The resources are designed to provide engaging and effective learning opportunities throughout the summer.

Educational Apps

  • ALEKS: Supplementary math materials to keep your skills sharp.

  • ST Math (JiJi): Interactive math games that make learning fun.

  • Accelerated Reader: A wide range of books to encourage summer reading.

  • Discovery Education: Explore exciting science content and experiments.

  • Destiny Discovery: A wealth of digital resources and books.

Access

Students can access the following apps during the summer through the Clever Single Sign-On (SSO) platform. Log in to Clever to start exploring and learning!

We encourage all students to use these tools to continue learning and growing, wishing you a fun and educational summer!

Parking Lot Safety Reminder

Please help keep our students safe by driving carefully and observing all traffic safety signs and speed limits around our school.

• When leaving the parking lot, only right turns are allowed.

• Do not park or leave your vehicle in any area marked with a red curb.

• For safety, please ensure your child exits and enters your vehicle on the curbside only.

• Please continue to pull forward until you are immediately behind the car in front of you while waiting to pick up your child.
This will help eliminate parents cutting in front of each other and prevent dangerous maneuvers.

• As a safety reminder, please do not park in the center roundabout to exit your car and walk through traffic to pick up your child. This is dangerous and disrupts the flow of traffic.

Thank you for helping keep our drop-off and pick-up areas safe and efficient for everyone! Your cooperation ensures the safety of our Eader community.
