At last night’s Board meeting, the Board approved a purchase agreement for a potential permanent location for the Huntington Beach City School District (HBCSD) Bus Storage Facility on Palmdale Lane in Huntington Beach. According to legal counsel, the property is appropriately zoned for the District’s intended use as a transportation facility.

After consulting with legal counsel and working closely with architectural services, the District is confident that this property will be a suitable location for our transportation department once the City of Huntington Beach grants the appropriate approvals. The purchase agreement for the property is contingent on the District obtaining a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) from the City. 

The total purchase price for the property is $3,800,000, which will be paid from the Special Reserve Fund for Capital Projects (Fund 40) upon the successful completion of the escrow.
