Week of January 13

Good Morning Eader Families,

Please see the information and updates below for the week of January 13:

School News

Weekly Instrumental Music Instruction Begins This Week!

We are thrilled to announce that weekly instruction in Instr umental Music will begin this week, led by past Eader Music Teacher, Ms. Nelda Alvarez!

Ms. Nelda is eager to return and share her passion for music with our Eader Eagles. Her goal is to foster a love for music and create a supportive space where students can explore and express themselves through the power of music.

Students in Grades K-2 will embark on their musical journey by learning percussion (drums), while students in Grades 3-5 will continue the cherished Eader tradition of learning the ukulele.

About Ms. Nelda:

For returning Eader families, Ms. Nelda  needs no introduction. However, for our new families, it’s important to share that Ms. Nelda is a dedicated and experienced music educator whose teaching philosophy emphasizes creating a positive learning environment while maintaining high standards of instruction. Her primary goal is to inspire a lifelong love of music in every child, helping them discover the meaning and message within each piece they play.

Ms. Nelda focuses on building students’ confidence and appreciation for music, whether by fostering a love for playing an instrument or deepening their understanding of the dedication it takes to learn one. She creates a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical potential freely.

We look forward to seeing our students grow as musicians with Ms. Nelda's expert support and encouragement!

Traffic Update: Lane Closures Near Eader

We want to inform you that portions of Hamilton Ave. and Magnolia St. will be closed to traffic during work at the northeast corner of the Ascon site. These closures will occur from Monday, January 13, through Wednesday, January 22, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Traffic near the school may be impacted during drop-off and pick-up times. We encourage families to plan for potential delays and exercise caution when driving in the area.

Parking Lot Safety Reminder

Please help keep our students safe by driving carefully and observing all traffic safety signs and speed limits around our school.

  • When leaving the parking lot, only right turns are allowed.
  • Do not park or leave your vehicle in any area marked with a red curb.
  • For safety, please ensure your child exits and enters your vehicle on the curbside only.
  • Please continue to pull forward until you are immediately behind the car in front of you while waiting to pick up your child. This will help eliminate parents cutting in front of each other and prevent dangerous maneuvers.
  • As a safety reminder, please do not park in the center roundabout to exit your car and walk through traffic to pick up your child. This is dangerous and disrupts the flow of traffic.

Thank you for helping keep our drop-off and pick-up areas safe and efficient for everyone! Your cooperation ensures the safety of our Eader community.
