Lunch on the Lawn – April 22, April 30 & May 1
From time to time, our cafeteria is used for educational programming. On these days, students enjoy lunch outdoors on the Eader Lawn, weather permitting.
Students are welcome to sit directly on the grass, but feel free to pack a small blanket or towel for your child if you’d prefer. If the lawn is wet, alternate dry locations will be provided.
Kindergarten students will eat in the kindergarten play area.
We’re looking forward to some fresh-air lunch days!

CAASPP Testing Information and Schedule - Grades 3-5 Only
This year, all CAASPP testing will take place in person across the Huntington Beach City School District. The dates listed below reflect the testing window for each grade level. Teachers will be in touch this week with their specific testing schedules. The Eader Elementary schedule is as follows:

April 28 – May 2: 5th Grade – CAST

May 5 – 9: Grades 3–5 – English Language Arts

May 12 – 16: Grades 3–5 – Mathematics
As a parent or guardian, you can help your child feel confident and prepared by:
- Explaining that these tests are just one way to measure progress and nothing to fear
- Exploring practice tests together at caaspp.org/practice-and-training
- Encouraging them to do their best and reminding them that you and their teachers are there to support them

April Assembly Rescheduled - Friday, May 2
Please note that our school assembly for the month of April has been rescheduled.
Instead of taking place on Friday, April 25, the assembly will now be held on Friday, May 2.

Parking Lot Safety Reminder
Please help keep our students safe by driving carefully and observing all traffic safety signs and speed limits around our school.
- When leaving the parking lot, only right turns are allowed.
- Do not park or leave your vehicle in any area marked with a red curb.
- For safety, please ensure your child exits and enters your vehicle on the curbside only.
- Please continue to pull forward until you are immediately behind the car in front of you while waiting to pick up your child. This will help eliminate parents cutting in front of each other and prevent dangerous maneuvers.
- As a safety reminder, please do not park in the center roundabout to exit your car and walk through traffic to pick up your child. This is dangerous and disrupts the flow of traffic.
