November Safety Update
Safety and preparedness continue to be a top priority at Eader.
On Tuesday, November 4, we conducted a successful fire drill and evacuated the entire school, with students and staff lined up on the blacktop in 3 minutes and 2 seconds.
On Tuesday, November 18, we also completed a secure drill, which was carried out smoothly and with great focus from everyone involved.
A special thank you to all families who attended our Fun Run this month. We truly appreciated everyone checking in at the school office, entering campus through proper procedures, and making sure the gate was closed behind them.
Your cooperation helps keep our campus safe for all students and staff.
November Attendance Update
Our final attendance rate for November 2025 was 96.17%. For comparison, our attendance in November 2024 was 97.2%, and our October 2025 attendance was 97.7%.
While we did see a slight dip compared to last year and the previous month, regular school attendance continues to be a major focus for us, as it directly impacts student learning, consistency, and classroom success.
Thank you to our families for partnering with us in making attendance a priority every day.
Reporting Student Attendance
If your child will be absent, please remember to notify the school by either calling our attendance line at (714) 962-2451 and leaving a message, or by emailing eaderattendance@hbcsd.us
Reporting absences promptly helps us keep accurate records, ensure student safety, and maintain clear communication between home and school.
Thank you for your support and partnership.

Blanket Drive - Monday, December 1 - Friday, December 19
This month we’re partnering with Emi’s Comfort for a school-wide blanket drive to support children receiving care at CHOC.

This is not a contest or a fundraiser - simply an opportunity for families to donate a new blanket if they wish.
Donations can be dropped off at the Eader Office.

Parking Lot Safety & Efficiency
With only a single lane entering and exiting our school parking lot, please keep in mind that one car has the ability to severely impact and hold up the entire line. To help keep traffic moving and ensure safety:
• Please have your child prepared to leave the vehicle safely and quickly on the curbside (school side).
• Stay in your car at all times.
• Pull up as far as you can, even past the gate, so the maximum number of cars can unload along the curb.
• Do not pull in front of other cars if there is a hold up.
• Safety is always our top priority—thank you for your support.
Additional reminders:
• Please drive carefully and observe all traffic safety signs and speed limits around the school.
• When leaving the parking lot, right turns only are permitted.
• Do not park or leave your vehicle in any area marked with a red curb.
• Children should always enter and exit vehicles from the curbside only.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and supporting the smooth flow of traffic in our Eader community.
