Dear Eader Community,
As we approach the winter break, our entire Eader staff would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all of our families for your partnership, support, and positivity throughout this school year. Your encouragement at home and involvement on campus help make Eader such a special place for students to learn and grow.
We are incredibly proud of our students - their hard work, kindness, and daily effort reflect the strength of this community. Thank you for all you do to support them and for the joy you bring to our school.
We hope this season brings moments of rest, connection, and celebration for your families, and we look forward to wrapping up a strong and joyful final week together before break.
Warmest wishes,
The Eader Staff

Birthday Treats at School - Friendly Reminder
As a reminder, and as outlined in the Eader Student Handbook (which is reviewed during annual data confirmation), we kindly ask that families do not send food or treats to school for student birthdays.
While we truly appreciate the thoughtful sentiment behind birthday celebrations, this guideline is in place to:
• Be respectful of students with food allergies or dietary restrictions
• Be respectful and inclusive of students, as well as families who may not think to - or be able send treats
• Help classrooms stay focused on learning and instruction
• Maintain consistency with schoolwide expectations and routines
I have reminded and requested that teachers not allow birthday treats at school, and I would truly appreciate your help in supporting this expectation by not sending them.
When treats arrive, it places teachers in a difficult position - wanting to honor a student’s special day and not disappoint them, while also needing to follow a schoolwide rule. Your support helps us avoid that situation and ensures consistency for all students.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support of our staff and school community.
CHOC Blanket Drive
This month we’re partnering with Emi’s Comfort for a school-wide blanket drive to support children receiving care at CHOC. Emi was a former Eader student who spent much of her life bravely battling serious medical challenges. After her passing just days before her 11th birthday, her mother, Elizabeth, began working closely with CHOC to bring comfort and love to children in the hospital.
This is not a contest or a fundraiser - simply an opportunity for families to donate a new blanket if they wish.
Donations can be dropped off at the Eader Office.
Reporting Student Attendance
If your child will be absent, please remember to notify the school by either calling our attendance line at (714) 962-2451 and leaving a message, or by emailing eaderattendance@hbcsd.us
Reporting absences promptly helps us keep accurate records, ensure student safety, and maintain clear communication between home and school.
Thank you for your support and partnership.
Parking Lot Safety & Efficiency
With only a single lane entering and exiting our school parking lot, please keep in mind that one car has the ability to severely impact and hold up the entire line. To help keep traffic moving and ensure safety:
• Please have your child prepared to leave the vehicle safely and quickly on the curbside (school side).
• Stay in your car at all times.
• Pull up as far as you can, even past the gate, so the maximum number of cars can unload along the curb.
• Do not pull in front of other cars if there is a hold up.
• Safety is always our top priority—thank you for your support.
Additional reminders:
• Please drive carefully and observe all traffic safety signs and speed limits around the school.
• When leaving the parking lot, right turns only are permitted.
• Do not park or leave your vehicle in any area marked with a red curb.
• Children should always enter and exit vehicles from the curbside only.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and supporting the smooth flow of traffic in our Eader community.
