School Safety Update - January
Keeping Eader safe remains a top priority, and I want to thank our staff, students, and families for their continued support and vigilance.
On Tuesday, January 6, we held a fire drill with a school evacuation time of 2 minutes and 31 seconds. Our students and staff did an excellent job following procedures quickly and calmly.
On Wednesday, January 21, we conducted a school secure drill, which went perfectly. These drills help ensure we are prepared to respond efficiently in any situation.
Thank you to everyone for your ongoing efforts to keep Eader School safe - including checking in at the school office when visiting campus and making sure gates are secured and closed behind you when leaving. Your partnership makes a difference.
School Attendance Update - January
Our January attendance rate was 96%, and we are proud of this continued improvement.
For comparison:
• January 2025: 94.9%
• January 2024: 95.2%
This upward trend reflects the shared commitment of our families, students, and staff to making school attendance a priority. When students are here consistently, they stay connected to learning, routines, and one another-and it truly makes a difference.
Thank you to our families for partnering with us and for making attendance a family priority. Your efforts matter, and they are helping our students thrive each day they are on campus.

Reporting Student AttendanceIf your child will be absent, please remember to notify the school by either calling our attendance line at (714) 962-2451 and leaving a message, or by emailing eaderattendance@hbcsd.usReporting absences promptly helps us keep accurate records, ensure student safety, and maintain clear communication between home and school. Thank you for your support and partnership. Parking Lot Safety & EfficiencyWith only a single lane entering and exiting our school parking lot, please keep in mind that one car has the ability to severely impact and hold up the entire line. To help keep traffic moving and ensure safety: • Please have your child prepared to leave the vehicle safely and quickly on the curbside (school side). • Stay in your car at all times. • Pull up as far as you can, even past the gate, so the maximum number of cars can unload along the curb. • Do not pull in front of other cars if there is a hold up. • Safety is always our top priority—thank you for your support. Additional reminders: • Please drive carefully and observe all traffic safety signs and speed limits around the school. • When leaving the parking lot, right turns only are permitted. • Do not park or leave your vehicle in any area marked with a red curb. • Children should always enter and exit vehicles from the curbside only. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and supporting the smooth flow of traffic in our Eader community.
