STAR Wristbands - Celebrating Positive Behavior at Eader
We are incredibly proud of the positive behavior we are seeing across campus each day. Students are doing an excellent job meeting our STAR expectations, and many have already earned their STAR wristbands by collecting 10 STAR cards.
As an incentive for students who consistently demonstrate STAR behavior, students wearing their wristbands are dismissed a few minutes early from lunch to enjoy extra recess time. It has been great to see so many students earning this recognition.
Due to the large number of students who have earned wristbands, and in order to keep this incentive special, we will be starting a new early dismissal rotation beginning next week:
• Wednesday - 3rd Grade
• Thursday - 1st and 4th Grade
• Friday - TK, Kindergarten, 2nd and 5th Grade
Please remind your child to wear their STAR wristband on their designated day. We will be flexible during the first week if a student forgets, but beginning in March, only students wearing their wristbands will be dismissed early.
Thank you for your continued partnership in reinforcing positive behavior and supporting our students on campus.

Families will have the chance to design and paint their own tile during the event, creating a lasting piece of art that becomes part of our school community. Tiles must be purchased in advance, so please be sure to use the link below to reserve yours ahead of time.

Reminder: Returning to School After Illness
To help keep our students and staff healthy, please review the following guidelines when deciding if your child is ready to return to school after being ill.
Students may return to school when:
• They have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication
• Vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea have been absent for 24 hours
• A communicable illness has been treated and the required treatment period has been completed
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community healthy.
Lost & Found Reminder - Fridays Before School
If your child is missing a jacket, sweatshirt, lunch container, or water bottle, please take a moment to check our Lost & Found. The Lost & Found will be set out on the curb on Fridays before school, making it easy to quickly look through items at drop-off. Unclaimed items will be donated periodically, so we encourage families to check regularly. Reporting Student AttendanceIf your child will be absent, please remember to notify the school by either calling our attendance line at (714) 962-2451 and leaving a message, or by emailing eaderattendance@hbcsd.usReporting absences promptly helps us keep accurate records, ensure student safety, and maintain clear communication between home and school. Thank you for your support and partnership. Parking Lot Safety & EfficiencyWith only a single lane entering and exiting our school parking lot, please keep in mind that one car has the ability to severely impact and hold up the entire line. To help keep traffic moving and ensure safety: • Please have your child prepared to leave the vehicle safely and quickly on the curbside (school side). • Stay in your car at all times. • Pull up as far as you can, even past the gate, so the maximum number of cars can unload along the curb. • Do not pull in front of other cars if there is a hold up. • Safety is always our top priority—thank you for your support. Additional reminders: • Please drive carefully and observe all traffic safety signs and speed limits around the school. • When leaving the parking lot, right turns only are permitted. • Do not park or leave your vehicle in any area marked with a red curb. • Children should always enter and exit vehicles from the curbside only. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and supporting the smooth flow of traffic in our Eader community.
