Kinetic Academy, originally chartered in 2016 and most recently renewed through June 30, 2027, presented its Renewal Charter Petition to the Board, requesting a new seven-year term effective July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2034. Kinetic Academy staff also presented a report on the school to the Board. Pursuant to Education Code Section 47605(b) and Title 5, Section 11966.4, the Board held the required public hearing on the petition, with both parties having agreed to a 30-day extension of the statutory timeline. Staff will report factual findings to the Board no later than 15 days before the Board considers the petition, with action on the renewal required at the October 13, 2026, meeting to comply with deadlines.
