Eader Elementary Fun Run - Why Your Support Matters

Our school's largest fundraiser, the Eader Fun Run, officially kicked off on Friday at our school assembly.

As we begin this year's fundraiser, I wanted to take a moment to share why this event is so important to our school community. While students have opportunities to earn various incentives for their fundraising efforts, my hope is that the greatest motivation for our families to participate is understanding the direct impact these funds have on our students and their educational experiences.

Our goal is simple: to provide our teachers, staff, and school programs with the resources and support needed to offer the best possible educational experience for every student.

Our PTA plays an essential role in making this possible, and the Fun Run provides much of the funding that supports these opportunities throughout the school year.

Thanks to the generosity of our families, PTA funds help support:

• Field trips, including admission fees and transportation
• Schoolwide technology, equipment, and essential resources
• On-campus educational experiences and enrichment programs
• Schoolwide assemblies
• Library books, reading materials, and literacy enrichment
• Teacher stipends for classroom supplies
• Cultural arts experiences, performances, and presentations
• Book fairs and family movie nights
• Field Day and playground equipment
• Art programs and supplies
• Student recognition programs
• Campus murals and beautification projects
• Staff appreciation initiatives
• And much more

These contributions benefit students across all grade levels and help provide opportunities and resources that would otherwise not be possible.

Thank you to our PTA for their continued dedication to our school and to our families for their ongoing generosity and support. Every contribution, regardless of the amount, helps make a difference.

Registration is free, and simply registering ensures your child receives this year's new Fun Run T-shirt.

Thank you for your continued generosity and support of our school. Together, we can continue making Eader the very best place for our students to learn, grow, and thrive.

Please be sure to review the Fun Run schedule below for your child's class time. We look forward to seeing you there.

Red Ribbon Week - Week of October 26

Red Ribbon Week is here and this year, we've traded traditional dress-up days for "Hero Challenges" that encourage our students to make healthy choices, show kindness, and be good friends.

Our Eader Leaders will introduce each day's challenge during the morning announcements, but we encourage families to talk with their children about these challenges at home as well.

Please see the flyer below for more information about each day's "Hero Challenge."

Gardening Club - Wednesday, October 28

Students in grades 1–5 who are interested in gardening are invited to join our Gardening Club, which meets every Wednesday during lunchtime.

Interested students should meet at the school garden during their lunch recess.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to get their hands dirty, learn about plants, and help our school garden grow. All interested students in grades 1-5 are welcome to participate!

Picture Make-Up Day will take place on Thursday, October 29.

Parking Lot Safety & Efficiency - Please Thoroughly Review

With only a single lane entering and exiting our school parking lot, please keep in mind that one car has the ability to severely impact and hold up the entire line. To help keep traffic moving and ensure safety:

• Please have your child prepared to leave the vehicle safely and quickly on the curbside (school side).

• Stay in your car at all times.

• Pull up as far as you can, even past the gate, so the maximum number of cars can unload along the curb.

• Do not pull in front of other cars if there is a hold up.

• When leaving the parking lot, right turns only are permitted.

• Do not park or leave your vehicle in any area marked with a red curb.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our students safe and supporting the smooth flow of traffic in our Eader community.
